Our Corporate Executives

Richard Granger

Richard Granger, Executive Director and Head of Corporate, has over 25 years experience in stockbroking and has had an active involvement in institutional and corporate stockbroking, asset sales and general corporate advice.

Rex Adams

Rex Adams, Executive Director, is a geologist by profession, and a graduate of the Kalgoorlie School of Mines. Rex has over 15 years experience in the mining industry followed and over 20 years in the capital markets working for stockbroking firms and major institutions. Rex has held positions including Head of Research and Senior Resources Analyst.

Peter Gray

Peter Gray, Director, has extensive experience in various equity capital and debt markets developed over the past 25 years. Peter has worked in various senior corporate positions at a variety of major financial institutions. Peter has held previous roles including Head of Corporate Services, and he is an ex Director of the Sydney Stock Exchange Board of Advice. Peter is one of Southern Cross Equities’ founders.

Paul McCarthy

Paul McCarthy, Corporate Director, Paul has extensive finance services experience across funds management, corporate investment and stockbroking over 25 years. For the past fifteen, he has held a range of research, sales and ECM roles specialising in small and mid cap industrials. Paul joined Southern Cross Equities in early 2006.

David O'Halloran

David O'Halloran, has 35 years experience in the capital markets and with large-scale basic material companies. David is a metallurgist by training and has an MBA from one of Australia’s pre-eminent management training universities. David has held senior roles in industry and in the capital markets.

Mark Thomas

Mark has 10 years corporate finance experience obtained in Australia and the UK. Mark specialises in corporate advisory focusing on the industrial and energy sectors. In addition to his lead advisory experience, Mark has worked for a number of large corporates in internal M&A roles.

Nathan Keevers

Nathan Keevers, Corporate Analyst, Nathan joined the Corporate Team in 2007 with a background in Real Estate and Infrastructure. His tertiary qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Sydney and currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.

Trudy Hoy

Trudy Hoy, New Issue Co-ordinator & Directors Assistant, is responsible for the administration and co-ordination of all of Southern Cross Equities’ new corporate issues. Trudy is currently on maternity leave.

Lisa Piefke

Lisa Piefke, Executive Assistant to the Corporate Department, has over 7 years experience in the stockbroking industry encompassing office administration and research support.
